Château de la Villedieu contains several well-preserved elements from medieval times.

First of all, the vast cellars under the château and gardens.

The most striking medieval piece is perhaps the well-preserved gothic medieval portal which forms an entry to a secluded area in the garden.

Then there is the old tower built into a more recent wall.

The property contains all of three striking stone gates, of which the one with the beautiful sentry lions is the oldest.
